Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner

Quiet strangely my friends were asking me how and what I wear as my eyeliner, they realised that I always wear the same type and they say that it looks “natural” although I wear thick and thin eyeliner depending on my mood, hence the idea popped into my head! Why not blog about the product? So here I am... the product that I use as my eyeliner every single day is the Maybelline Gel Eyeliner in BLACK you can buy this product in Superdrug’s for only £7.99

You might have already found out how the packaging looks by the pictures presented, but one thing I must point out is that the jar may look small but it definitely holds a lot of product, but because I use this nearly every day I have already finished one and half way through another, action speaks more than words in this case also. I love the fact that the small jar has the Maybelline logo and also the brush that comes with it, also has Maybelline logo on it.

The brush that comes with the gel eyeliner is very standard and some people find it difficult to use, however I really love the brush for a clean application on the eyelid but for a winged look I always go to my angled brush. You can definitely change the thickness of the eyeliner using this brush which is certainly a plus point, on the other hand this can be a pain in the a** when the gel eyeliner dries up on the brush which makes it very difficult to use until you give it a wash!.

 I came across the same gel eyeliner but in “black gold” so I thought I’ll mention that the application of this eyeliner is not as easy as the black one, I find that the black gold one due to the glitter gives it a more sheer finish with less pigmentation, I have to layer the eyeliner several times in order to get a decent thickness, The “Black gold” has more of a greenish tint rather than gold but is perfect for a night time look or for a  smoky party time look.

“   This is a amazing gel liner it is matte and lasts forever it easy to apply the pot lasts for a long time it's just a amazing eyeliner”..... I use this on an everyday basis and I love it. The colour is so intense and makes my eyes pop. The only fault would be the applicator; I didn't have great control when I used it so I use a different brush. Other than that, it's excellent. Easily applied, looks great, and stays on well. Can't fault it.

Pros:

• You only need a really tiny amount for the whole eye, the whole pot last me nearly a year and I wear this everyday!
• The pigmentation is amazing 
• The longevity is also very good, I’d say about 10 hours in average
• Does not clump at all and glides on smoothly

Cons :

• The brush and the eyeliner can dry up very quickly if left open in the air for too long ( if this happens just boil a bowl of water and leave the jar sealed in the bowl for about 20 minutes
•  Sometimes people find that they get a rough look on the eye, but you just need to practice if you never used gel eyeliner before.
• If you have oily eyelids that longevity may not please you and can get smudgy when freshly applied.
